Growing up, I was captivated by Gundam. The iconic 80s and 90s era of anime that was more than a show. It was a universe of storytelling and artistry that left a mark. Verum is the video I wanted to make from that. Everything I loved about that time, with my spin on it.

Behind the work

This project took two years, countless late nights, and more compromises than I can count. While freelancing across studios in Los Angeles, the short's story, style, and scope shifted more times than I'd like to admit. It was a grind, but one I wouldn't trade for anything. Now I finally get to share it with the world.

I directed, produced, and jumped into every discipline the film needed. Modeling, texture painting, lighting, comp, edit. Wherever the project had a gap, I filled it.

Managing a team of up to 10 artists across time zones and countries was no small feat. Everyone worked off-hours, driven not by deadlines or paychecks but sheer passion for what we were building. The entire short was rendered on my desktop. Nothing about it was easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. I'm proud of what we pulled off.
